BED AND BREAKFAST POLICIES
We want your stay at Fairfield Cottage to be enjoyable. We are a working cattle farm and require that our guests abide by our policies for your safety and that of our livestock. Please read these policies to avoid any surprises during your stay.
BOOKING POLICIES
Deposit Required: 50% of total charges or 1 night minimum charge when your reservation is made. The balance is due upon arrival.
Accepted Payment Methods: Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, Cash, Personal Checks (subject to a $30 return check fee), Travelers Checks and Fairfield Farm Cottage Gift Cards.
Rates and Taxes: Reservations are subject to 6% State Sales Tax, 1% State Transient Room Tax and 3% Local Tourism Tax.
Gift Certificates: Gift Certificates are valid for five years for the amount of the purchase and are non-refundable.
CANCELATION POLICIES
Early Departures: Should you need to depart prior to your reservation end-date you will be charged the full reservation price.
Cancellations: Because small B & B’s are significantly affected by cancelations and others are turned away when you agree to make your reservation, we have adopted the following payment policy. Should you cancel more than 14 days prior to your visit, your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to your visit the full amount will be charged with the option of rescheduling another visit with a gift certificate.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT POLICIES
Check-in: Please check-in between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm Eastern time. Late arrivals after 9:00 pm require advanced notification.
Check-out: Please check-out by 12:00 pm Eastern Time.
GENERAL POLICIES
Pets: No pets permitted.
Children: No children under the age of 16 can be accommodated. This is because to the proximity of Stoner Creek to the cottage.
Smoking: Smoking is prohibited in the cottage and on the entire farm.
Alcohol: Alcohol is permitted. You are welcome to bring your own spirits with you.
Payment: Each guest is expected to pay for any and all charges related to their stay at Fairfield Farm Cottage.
Owner’s Rights: Fairfield Farm is privately owned and operated. Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone not abiding with our policies. We will not be responsible for guest accidents or injury, or for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind.
Property Issues: Any damages, stolen items or broken items occurring during the stay will be the full responsibility of the guest, including anyone traveling with the guest. Any special clean-up resulting in damages caused by the guests will be charged to the credit card provided at the time of the reservation. Charges may need to be applied after the departure as deemed necessary by the Owner.
Fishing: Fishing is available in Fairfield’s one acre pond and the nearly one mile of frontage along Stoner Creek where fly fishing for bass is possible. Guests may also bring their kayak and canoes. We have a catch and release policy at the pond, but you may keep any fish from Stoner Creek. Guests may clean their fish at the potting shed.
